Cold
My hand touches that metal door.
It's locked.
How to escape now
The darkness surrounds me, calling me to play
To dance in the voids music
I can't see anything above me or below me.
I call out
"Help, I'm Here!"
"You forgot me!"
The only thing heard now are the echoes of my once loud voice
Diminishing
Slowly
Till nothing can be heard

My cheeks are wet
My hands feel only bricks that are ahead of me,
The solitary thing that I know is with me
Besides the ground below my feet

They forgot about me
They always do.
Everyone's probably home now
With smiles on their faces that I could never give them
While I was locked in

I gave up.
I gave into the darkness that surrounded me
And did what I always did
Danced.
Merging myself with the unknown
Letting my worries
My fears
Melt away like snow
Till all that was their was my inner self

Is this what death is like
An eternal pitfall of darkness
No one is their but yourself
And you inner most cleverly locked thoughts
For eternity
Alone?

I see a light in front of me open,
Blinding me
Trying to take control of the shadows
But falling
I saw his outline
And ran

That's all there is
Hope.
Warmth.
Love.
That is the one thing that can get me up in the morning
And make me sleep at night.
So if I get locked away once more
Who will be there to find me now?
